Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 May 2026

These terms cover how TC Fabrication & Installation (Thomas William Camacho, ABN 75 646 478 285) engages with customers in Queensland and across Australia. Reading them before requesting a quote or booking work helps avoid surprises later.

1. Who we are

TC Fabrication & Installation is a sole-trader business operated by Thomas Camacho, based in Alexandra Hills, Queensland 4161. We provide welding, fabrication, mobile welding repairs and trade fabrication across the Redlands and Brisbane east.

2. What we offer

  • Custom gates and bespoke metalwork (front, side, driveway and garden gates, planter screens, decorative panels, and custom pieces)
  • Mobile welding repairs (cracked frames, broken hinges, trailer rails, retaining-wall repairs and similar on-site call-outs)
  • Trade fabrication for builders, landscapers, and commercial fit-outs (handrails, frames, brackets, mounts and components built to specification)

Services described on this website are general in nature. Actual scope, materials, and pricing are confirmed in a written quote before any work begins.

3. Free site visit and quotes

Within our normal service area (Alexandra Hills, Cleveland, Birkdale, Capalaba, Wynnum, Redland Bay, Manly and Brisbane east), the initial site visit to measure and discuss a job is free. Quotes are provided in writing as fixed-fee where possible. Work outside the listed area may attract a call-out fee, agreed in advance.

4. Pricing and GST

Our hourly rate is $90 AUD per hour, inclusive of GST. Fixed-fee quotes are also inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. All prices are in Australian dollars.

5. Variations

If the scope of work changes after a quote is accepted, any additional work or material costs will be discussed and confirmed in writing before being done. Verbal variations may be invoiced if agreed in writing afterwards.

6. Deposits and payment

For jobs over $1,000, a deposit may be requested at quote acceptance. Final invoices are issued on completion of work. Standard payment terms are 7 days unless otherwise agreed. Payment methods: bank transfer or cash. Receipts and tax invoices are provided.

7. Workmanship and consumer guarantees

Under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), our services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. These include guarantees that our services will be:

  • Provided with due care and skill
  • Fit for any purpose we have agreed to
  • Completed within a reasonable time where no time is fixed

If something we make or fit fails because of a workmanship defect within a reasonable period after completion, contact us and we’ll discuss repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate under the law.

8. Materials

We use mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and (where requested) recycled stock. Where powder-coat, galvanising, or third-party finishing is involved, those services are subcontracted and their own warranty terms apply.

9. Cancellation

You may cancel an accepted job in writing at any time before work has commenced. Materials already purchased specifically for your job may be invoiced at cost. Once fabrication is underway, cancellation may attract a charge proportional to work completed.

10. Site access and safety

For on-site work, customers are responsible for ensuring safe access to the worksite, including adequate power supply where workshop-quality outlets aren’t available. Where access is unsafe or non-compliant, we reserve the right to delay or decline work and quote any required variations.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss or damage arising out of our services is limited to either (a) re-supplying the services or (b) refunding the price paid, at our election. This does not affect any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified.

12. Privacy

Information you provide via the website quote form is handled per our Privacy Policy.

13. Website use

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute will first be attempted to be resolved by direct conversation. If that’s not possible:

  • Small consumer disputes can be lodged with the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) at qcat.qld.gov.au
  • Larger disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Queensland courts

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be flagged on the home page.
